Dear Community Partners,
Join the End Poverty Tows Coalition as we rally community support for directly impacted people who would be affected by proposed parking restrictions near Lake Merced. The item is up at the SFMTA Board meeting next Tuesday, 7/18, which starts at 1 PM at City Hall in Room 400. The item is expected to be up around 2:00 PM. The agenda and call-in information are not posted yet, but I will update you all when it is posted. Please see the action guide with more details and talking points.
We are organizing families who live in their vehicles on the affected streets to show up and speak about the impact of these parking limits, which would lead to tickets and towing, and ultimately the loss of their vehicles and destabilization of their lives. We want to elevate their voices and highlight the harms that this could cause. Please see our letter for a bit more context, and let me know if you would like to sign on if your organization is not already signed on.
