RALLY TO SUPPORT THE NEARLY 600 TENANTS OF
SACRAMENTO SELF HELP HOUSING [SSHH]:
TELL THE COUNTY NOT TO MAKE THEM HOMELESS AGAIN!
WHAT: SSHH needs your support for their tenants! They are losing their County funding at contract end – risking an abrupt early closure of all SSHH operations. This means their nearly 600 formerly homeless tenants are in danger of being evicted back to the street. As of today, it is not clear what the County’s or the CoC’s plan is to secure current housing or find new housing for all these tenants.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 28, 2023, 9:30 AM
Agenda Item #47
WHERE: Board of Supervisors, 700 J Street, Downtown Sacramento
WHY: Through no fault of their own, the nearly 600 SSHH tenants are at high risk of becoming homeless at any time in the next several weeks or months unless support is found. Unrestricted funding and providers to take over programs are needed immediately.
ASK THE BOARD WHAT THEIR PLAN IS TO STOP THIS INJUSTICE
THEY PROMISED IN THE THEIR CITY-COUNTY HOMELESS SERVICES
PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT TO DO “WHAT EVER IT TAKES”— NOW IS THEIR FIRST CHANCE TO MAKE GOOD ON THAT PROMISE – 600
TENANTS LIVES ARE AT STAKE!
