Thank you to everyone who signed the open letter to Governor Newsom urging him to reconsider his CARE Court proposal. There were over 500 signatories!
Yesterday, Disability Rights California staff along with other disability and housing advocates hand delivered the letter to Governor Newsom’s office. Attached is a PDF copy of the letter and it is posted on DRC’s website at https://www.disabilityrightsca.org/latest-news/open-letter-to-governor-newsom-we-do-not-need-care-court-sb-1338.
Over the next few weeks, DRC will share the letter with all members of the Legislature before the final votes.
