PMI Aspire, the management group chosen by the court receivership to take over several buildings formerly mismanaged by CBZ Management, is systematically forcing out vulnerable tenants from Edge of Lowry as they plan to close it in the coming months. They have been doing so by engaging in an ILLEGAL process of bribery that subverts any formal eviction process, denies tenants 25 days, and instead forces them out on an arbitrary date, locking the doors behind them. The City of Aurora, up until this point, has been incredibly amenable to these entities, both past and present – instead of listening to the needs of the tenants. We need community members who are against corrupt landlords to band together this Public Comment session. Lend YOUR voice to demand that the City create a fair rehousing process that provides safe and dignified alternatives for these families so they don’t end up on the streets!!!
We will be meeting up ahead of time to discuss the situation further in an orientation, signing everyone up to speak for 3 minutes, and then walking in together. WE PROTECT US!!!
