This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to partner with the Sacramento Regional Coalition to End Homelessness as we build power with Sacramento’s unhoused community members to educate, advocate, and ultimately change the conditions we are facing. We are focused on narrative, policy, and survival strategies, all with permanent housing as a central theme. Your donation today will directly support this work! As powerful entities across the nation declare the existence of unhoused people and communities illegal, poor and homeless people will not only continue to exist but they are fighting back against this hateful, cruel policy direction and toward the solutions they know will work to end and prevent their homelessness!
This year so far your donations have allowed the Sacramento Regional Coalition to End Homelessness to give support to our unhoused neighbors during the heatwaves and storms, engage in an Unhoused Voter Registration, Education, and GOTV Project, directly support unhoused organizers in their planning efforts, collaborate across organizations and with unhoused community members on advocacy efforts and community education events, and to regularly produce our newsletter highlighting evidence-based practices, trainings and research, our local criminalization dashboard, and civil rights news. Help ensure that this work continues in the new year by becoming a donor today! You can also contribute by sending a check to 1026 Florin Rd. #349, Sacramento, CA. 95831.
We also hope you’ll join us December 21st at 6:30pm, at Caesar Chavez Plaza, for our annual Candlelight Vigil for our Unhoused Neighbors. Please see and share the attached flyer! We will be sharing dinner, honoring the lives we’ve lost, and committing to uplifting the quality of life of those still with us. Hear from local community leaders and take action together.
In community,
