Los Angeles, CA. Freedom Now 2021: Support Social Justice NOW

Posted on December 7, 2021 by Jonathan

Hello friends, supporters, donors and and all those invested in making “good trouble.”

I just want to say, “thank you,” for your support in 2020-2021.   I also want to invite you to our 2021 Freedom Now Celebration and Awards on December 12, 2021 at 5 pm. As this year draws to a close, we want to celebrate those who unselfishly pitched in during difficult times and highlight the work we must do in 2022.

Our list of Honorees follows the longstanding LA CAN tradition of acknowledging those making life changing contributions just because it’s the right thing to do. Warren G, Tricia Jamanila, Damon Tandy, Lorraine Morland, and Latham and Watkins all fit the bill and have done amazing work throughout the year. Freedom Now is guaranteed to inspire and entertain you! In addition to a world class line up of activists, special guests and musical acts, LA CAN’s very own Freedom Singers will serve an unforgettable performance from the streets of Skid Row.

So we’re counting on you to show up. To spread the word and invite family and friends. To join us as we demand Freedom Now.

To register, go to https://cangress.org/the-2021-freedom-now-awards/

Donations can be made through this registration page. *If you know folks that would like to attend but have fallen on difficult times please send them to the registration page. We know this year has been difficult for many and want to extend the opportunity to build the LA CAN community far and wide.

When: December 12th, at 5 pm.

Where: We are holding the event virtually to ensure everyone that would like to participate, can. Streaming information will be shared with registered folks via email, and through our social media platforms

See you soon!
