Homeless Sweeps Class Action Proposed Settlement Moves Forward!!
On Wednesday we announced our proposed settlement in the class action lawsuit. This settlement is a critical step in protecting the basic property rights of people who are homeless. No matter if you are homeless or housed we all have a constitutional right notice and due process before our property can be taken. This settlement lays out policy in Denver to protect this right.
The settlement is not passed yet though. At the status hearing today, the judge explained it will be at least a few more months before the fairness hearing and final judgment will be in place. Stay tuned for details on this process…
And in the mean while, lets protect our other constitutional rights by supporting the Right to Survive…!
