Please join us in urging our state lawmakers to protect and increase state funding for immigration legal services during the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Human Services taking place on Wednesday, February 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the state Capitol in Sacramento.
📣 CALL TO ACTION! Bring staff, clients, and community members to attend the Assembly Budget Subcommittee hearing to provide in-person public comments. If you can’t attend in-person, you can submit a public comment via email.
· You can use the Public Comment Guide here for instructions and sample scripts to assist you in preparing your public comments.
· If submitting a public comment via email, please submit by COB, Tuesday, February 25.
🗓 Date: Wednesday, February 26, 1:30 p.m.
· Location: State Capitol, 1315 10th Street, Room 444.
· The budget hearings can take several hours and the timing for public comment can happen anytime after 1:30 p.m.
