Summary
The Frank Koci Art Auction to benefit homeless charities in the Sacramento region is coming to Midtown Sacramento. At the event, attendees will be able to partake in a silent auction for a chance to take home a piece of Koci’s artistic legacy, while showing support for nonprofit organizations that support the homeless community.

At the event, guests are invited to enjoy small bites, beer, and wine, while they mingle with their peers and view the vast selection of works we’ve pulled together. Proceeds of the auction will benefit several local charities that are struggling to alleviate the suffering of the burgeoning number of homeless folks who are trying to survive on the streets of our communities.

About the Artist
Long before filmmaker, Michael Moore, focused on inequalities in American society, Frank Koci captured in his art the struggles and injustices that run through our communities. In both his journals and his paintings, Koci reflected on the alienation and estrangement that happened in mid-twentieth-century America. He was an outsider artist, with his work often associated with the primitive genre of art. During the 1960s, Koci was both a participant and observer of the Beat Generation scene in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood. Frank Koci lived from 1904 -1983, leaving behind a treasure of paintings, drawings, and unpublished literary works for art collectors, historians, and enthusiasts to enjoy.
