Sausalito Moves to Evict Camp Cormorant, Sparking Tension
The City of Sausalito today posted notices to vacate at Camp Cormornat, in Sausalito.
The city plans to send them to Marinship, which many people are calling an internment camp.
It appears the city plans on bringing down the hammer on Tuesday.
Some campers are moving to Marinship, others are planning on fighting. An appeal was filed in federal court to stop the eviction Friday afternoon by Jeff Chase, a camp resident and members of the Homeless Union.
