Last week we sent the attached letter to the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE) and we still have gotten no reply. (Read Here)
The letter makes a request from encampment residents for a decision maker in DDPHE to meet with them and hear real solutions to the health and safety needs of encampment residents. It also lays out suggested solutions to the issues DDPHE raised in their statement about the camps along 22nd, Stout, and Champa.
Sweeping people from block to block does nothing to help our communities health and safety! Rather it creates more danger! We need sanitation resources, land, and HOUSING, not sweeps.

Consider emailing Robert McDonald, director of DDPHE (at Bob.McDonald@denvergov.org) to request they turn to real solutions, not sweeps.
