Homeless Sweeps Class Action Lawsuit | Pre-Trial Conference!!

April 20, 2018 by Jonathan Leave a Comment

Wednesday May 2nd 3pm

Federal Court House 901 19th st Denver CO (19th and Curtis)

Come to this Pre-Trial Hearing. If you are homeless you are part of this class. If you are not homeless right now you could be. Be part of the movement for our rights and come to this hearing to hold the courts accountable to protect our constitutional rights.

This case concerns the violation of our 4th amendment rights as the City government continues to sweep homeless people “away” and illegally seizes property.

Homeless Class Action Moves Toward Trial!! City’s Motions Denied.

You can be a Petitioner for the Right to Survive!

Thursday April 19th, 7pm-8:45pm
Denver Homeless Out Loud Office
2260 California St Denver CO 80205. (the lavender building at the corner of California and Park Avenue West)

Become a Certified Petitioner for the Right to Survive!

We need people to help gather petition signatures between April and the end of June. But this is not for just anyone… If you are interested in helping do this, consider first if you have the time to commit – at least 25 hours – between April and the end of June to getting out in the community and getting signatures. We are looking for folks who are able and down to get a bunch of signatures early in the game so that we can be more effective in getting this done! We’ll help you if you’ve never done this before, by suggesting good locations and events, and pairing you with experienced signature gatherers. A smile is the best attribute you can have to get signatures, and attention to detail helps a lot. Come to the training even if you are not sure…but especially if you are sure you can do this thang!

So please come! Thursday April 19th 7pm. Learn the legal requirements for signature gathering, possibly get your petition sections, and learn more about what the Right to Survive Initiative will do for the people of Denver!!

Please RSVP to Dianne Thiel at aglee668@indra.com, or 303 692-0684 so we have enough materials for everyone.

Donate to Denver’s Second Tiny Home Village!
This is the time to give to create real attainable homes and community!
