Two new developments in the Denver Camping Ban Trial set 8:30 a.m. Tuesday April 4, 2017. Today, Sua Sponte, the judge directed a “Decorum Order” to the homeless defendants. Sua Sponte Decorum Orders are exceedingly rare, not seen since the civil rights trials in the South when the Judges wanted to control the behavior of African-american defendants. Further, the judge denied media requests to have cameras in the courtroom. Media is allowed, but with no recording devices. The issuance of the Decorum Order with the banning of cameras speaks to the attitude of the court toward these homeless defendants who are currently presumed innocent.
Camping Ban Trial: 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 4. Press conference scheduled 7:15 am in front of the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse.
