WRAP creates and spreads artwork that expresses both the commonality of our struggles and the strength we draw from each other. Artwork is essential to social movements and a powerful tool in changing the debate about homelessness. This means we need artists to contribute what they do best, making visible a truth.
Homelessness is too often perceived as unconnected to wider social movements. WRAP sees homelessness as an issue that connects to a wider human rights story. The public debate needs to change from “the homeless” as the problem to the systemic lack of affordable housing as a violation of basic human rights.
This shift can only happen when homelessness is rendered and seen as part of a wider human rights movement. This kind of art inspires people to take action. Take a stand for social justice and human rights and make our movement beautiful!
